Today’s vote is about the friendship between a man and a woman. I have been believing it’s possible in my life, however, I’ve also have been believing that it is quite rare and difficult, I’d call it a miracle.

To me, Japanese society is quite a strong sexist and heterosexist society. Females are educated and socialized that they are people supposed to attract males. When they start to be separated distinctively by uniform, they consider each other as an opposite group of people, and it is almost impossible to see a person from the opposite group with ignoring that fact.

So, while I was looking for a language exchange partner, I’d been looking for a woman for years, especially in the internet setting. However, after I’ve started to take the social justice certificate program at a college, I’ve finally been able to make friends beyond gender even in the Internet setting. I am thrilled and I want to share this joy with more people. If you are interested in heterosexism, please follow my social justice content. I am working on making articles!!

今日のアンケートは男女間の友情についてでした。私は今までずっと男女間の友情はあり得ると思ってきたタイプの人間なのですが、とは言え、それはとても稀で難しいものであり、もし発生したら奇跡、と認定していました笑。

日本社会というのは私から見ると、とても性差別的でさらに言えば異性愛主義も非常に強い側面があります。女性は男性のために魅力的であるべきであるという規範があり、女の子はそれを教育され社会化されていく中で、必死に満たそうとがんばっています。学校で制服によって男性と女性が明確に分けられたときから、異性は異性グループに存在するメンバーとしてどうしても見てしまいますし、その情報を無視することなどできなくなります。

そんな背景から、私も語学勉強パートナーを探す際はいつも女性を探していました。とくにインターネッととなると。でもソーシャルジャスティスのプログラムを大学で受けるようになって私はやっとジェンダーに縛られずにインターネット環境下でも男性の友達を作ることができるようになってきたんです。本当に嬉しい。ま、授業を通して、ノンバイナリーになると決めたことも大きいと思います。というわけで異性愛主義について知りたい方、ぜひ当サイトをフォローしてください。現在ひたすらに記事を制作中なんです♪
